I BELIEVE THE LAST TIME THAT THIS WAS DONE WAS, UH, IN 2022, MAYBE 21, WHEN, UH, CHRIS DALEY WAS STILL WHEN, UH, GIVING THOSE BRIEFINGS AND WAS STILL HEAR WITH US.
BUT IT'S BEEN SEVERAL YEARS SINCE THE LAST A FD CASE.
AND NOW WE'RE STARTING TO SEE SEVERAL MORE OF THESE.
I'M NOT GONNA READ, UH, THE, THE SLIDES, BUT BASICALLY WHAT I HAVE HERE IS THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF THE A FD ORDINANCE, WHICH WAS PASSED IN MAY OF 2007.
BUT ESSENTIALLY THE A FD IS A, UM, IS AN INCENTIVE PROGRAM TO, UH, WELL, TO HAVE, UH, TO INCENTIVIZE PROPERTY OWNERS TO KEEP THEIR LAND, UM, UH, AN OPEN SPACE AND IN A CONDITION THAT'S SUITABLE FOR, UH, UH, FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FOOD AND OTHER AGRICULTURAL ENFORCEABLE PRODUCTS.
SO, UM, BASICALLY THERE IS, UH, AN ENTIRE ORDINANCE THAT GOVERNS THE AG AND ENFORCEABLE DISTRICT.
SECTION 15 OF THAT, UM, OF, OF THAT ORDINANCE DETAILS HOW ONE WITHDRAWS FROM THE AG FORESTAL DISTRICT.
AGAIN, UH, THEY MAY FILE WITH THE, WELL WITH THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING WHO HAPPENS TO BE ME.
AND, UH, UH, EVENTUALLY THAT MAKES ITS WAY TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, UH, FOR THEIR OFFICIAL AND FINAL DECISION TO WITHDRAW OR NOT WITHDRAW.
ONE THING THAT'S WORTH NOTING IS THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE A FD IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.

AND, UH, WHAT MOST PEOPLE ARE FAMILIAR WITH IS THAT BUFFER AREA OF 100 FEET IN WIDTH, UM, UH, LOCATED ADJACENT TWO AND WARD OF THE COMPONENTS LISTED IN THOSE FIRST FOUR.

UH, WE'VE ALREADY FINISHED STEP NUMBER ONE, WHICH IS TO REVIEW THE 100% PLANS, UM, SUBMISSION OF THE SEPTIC SYSTEM PERMIT OF THE, TO THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SHOULD HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED ALREADY.
AND, UH, WE REALLY DIDN'T HAVE A WHOLE LOT OF COMMENTS FOR THE ARCHITECT ON THIS 100% PLAN.
AND WHEN I SAY 100% PLAN, PREVIOUSLY WE WERE WORKING WITH 35% PLAN.
SO WHEN, WHEN WE WERE GIVING THE BRIEFING TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS BACK IN SEPTEMBER, WE HAD 35% PLANS AT THAT TIME.
