UM, SO THIS IS THE PROPERTY AND IT'S THE GREEN IS, UH, IT'S DESIGNATION IN IN AN AGATE FORESTAL DISTRICT.

UM, AND THIS IS WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO DO, IS THEY WOULD LIKE TO, UH, MOVE SOME PROPERTY LINES AROUND, UM, IN ORDER TO PUT A, UH, A DWELLING ON THE PROPERTY.

IT'S JUST, THERE'S A PROCESS FOR BEING WITHDRAWN.

THE FIRST STEP IS THIS, AND THEN THEY GO TO PLANNING COMMISSION AND THEN THEY GO TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.

BUT IT STARTS HERE.

AND THEN A SUBDIVISION OF PARCEL.

I'LL GO AHEAD AND READ THIS.

UM, SECTION 11, SUBDIVISION OF PARCEL LANDLINE WITHIN A DISTRICT SHALL NOT BE SUBDIVIDED DURING THE PERIOD THAT SUCH DISTRICT EXISTS, EXCEPT THAT WITH THE PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE BOARD LOTS MEETING THE CRITERIA OF VIRGINIA CODE 15.2 DASH 2244 AND AKIMA COUNTY CODE SECTION 78 DASH 12 MAY BE SUBDIVIDED FOR USE BY AN IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER OF THE OWNER OF SUCH LAND.

FURTHER LANDS MAY BE DIVIDED OR SUBDIVIDED AND SOLD FOR CONTINUED AGRICULTURAL ENFORCEABLE USE SO LONG AS IT CONTINUES TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS ORDINANCE AND THIS DISTRICT AND THE DISTRICT.

SO, UH, STAFF FINDINGS.

UH, THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY WISHES TO WITHDRAW THE PARCEL FROM THE A FD IN ORDER TO SUBDIVIDE THE PARCEL AND PLACE A DWELLING ON AN ADJACENT PROPERTY.

UM, THE PARCEL THAT THE APPLICANT WISHES TO PLACE, UH, THE DWELLING ON NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED IN ORDER TO MEET SETBACK REGULATIONS FOUND IN THE AKIMA COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE.

UM, NUMBER THREE, THE PARCELS IN AN AG ENFORCEABLE DISTRICT THAT WOULD NEED TO BE TAKEN OUTTA THE DISTRICT IN ORDER TO SUBDIVIDE AND REMOVAL FROM THE A FD WOULD NOT CHANGE THE ABIL THE APPLICANT'S ABILITY TO RECEIVE LAND USE TAXATION, THE PARCEL IS LARGE ENOUGH TO WHERE EVEN IF THEY GET TAKEN OUT, THEY STILL RECEIVE LAND USE TAXATION.

UM, STAFF IS NEUTRAL ON THE REMOVAL OF THE PARCEL FROM THE A FD.

IT IS THE APPLICANT'S DECISION TO REMOVE THE PARCEL.

SO THAT IS THE MOTION I HAVE.

THE, ONCE YOU GET, YOU CAN GET FROM US 13 TO VILLE ON PRETTY DECENT ROADS.

ONCE YOU GET TO THE VILLE CHURCH AND YOU, I'M GONNA GUESS IT'S APPROXIMATELY FOUR OR FIVE MILES FROM GRANITEVILLE CHURCH TO THIS PROPERTY.

PART OF THOSE ROADS ARE JUST ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.

THEY'RE HEAVILY HUMPED BACK NO SHOULDERS.

UM, I, I'VE GOT NO OBJECTION TO ONE OR TWO ADDITIONAL PROPERTIES, BUT IF SOMEBODY WANTED TO PUT UH, A 20 UH, SUBDIVISION HOUSES, I WOULD OBJECT BECAUSE THE ROADS JUST, JUST ARE NOT OF THE QUALITY TO HANDLE THE TRAFFIC.

THERE'S CURRENTLY APPROXIMATELY 200 ACRES OF FARMLAND STILL ACTIVELY USED.

UM, WHEN WE MOVE THAT FARM EQUIPMENT OVER THIS, OVER THESE PUBLIC ROADS, THE ROADS ARE SO INADEQUATE.

WE ESSENTIALLY DO NOT ALLOW FOR THE PASSAGE OF, UM, OF, OF, OF CARS OR ANYTHING EITHER WAY.

SO I DON'T KNOW THAT SURE I DON'T THINK WOULD BE THE PREVIEW OF THIS BOARD, BUT IT IS A CONCERN THAT I HAVE IT.

I WILL SAY IN THE FUTURE, IF THEY EVER HAD PLANS TO SUBDIVIDE OR ANYTHING THAT'S OVER, UH, 10 LOTS, THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WOULD GO TO PLANNING COMMISSION.

SO IT'S A IF'S A LARGER LOTS OR A, OR A LARGE SUBDIVISION.

UM, THERE'S AN EXTRA LEVEL OF SCRUTINY WHERE WE DO LOOK AT THINGS LIKE ROADS.

UM, I AGREE WITH, WITH MR. MILLS.

UM, YOU KNOW, I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY CONCERN WITH, WITH THIS, BUT, AND IT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT WE CAN HAVE ANY SAY OVER, BUT, UH, LIVING ON THE BAY SIDE, IT'S GONNA BE A REAL PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE WITH ACCESS.

AND ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU GET PEOPLE FROM THAT AREN'T FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA THAT BUILDING THESE LOW LINE AREAS AND THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT, UH, UH, THERE'S GONNA BE TIMES WHEN YOU'RE NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO PROVIDE 'EM FIRE EMS, SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT.

'CAUSE A LOT OF TIMES, ROADS, A LOT OF THESE ROADS ARE GONNA BE FLOODED.

IT'S THE SAME THING OF WHERE I LIVE.
